My Life is my Sundance

I don’t know how to save the world. I don’t have the answers or The Answer. I hold no secret knowledge as to how to fix the mistakes of generations past and present. I only know that without compassion and respect for all of Earth’s inhabitants, none of us will survive—nor will we deserve to - Leanard Peltier in his book (My life is my Sundance).

I have not posted a thing for over a month. Several reasons are to be blamed, laziness ranked up there as the main factor while procrastination came a very close second.

Other factors that I feel good blaming on are the fact that I am currently reading a colossus of a book by Robert Fisk titled ‘Great war for Civilization’ concurrently with ‘The Story of Edward Sawtelle’ by David Wroblewski. Both books are not exactly an easy read. While I have been a loyal follower of Mr. Fisk writings, I bought the other book because Oprah liked it. It’s about an autistic/deaf child that has a special bonding with his dogs.

Add to the fact that I have a new toy, an Ipod touch...it makes writing even more difficult. My new toy is cool, it currently holds nearly 20 gigs worth of my digital music library ranging from Josh Groban, Eminem, Daughtry, Kanye West to some easy listening jazz, club and classical music. My son likes it because it can double up as a gaming machine. Tell you people about this in another post.

My good friend recently nearly died of a heart attack. He was extremely lucky to get to the hospital on time and had 3 angioplasty done. It was harrowing to get a sms from his wife, you fear the worst. I just had breakfast with him 4 days before the attack and he was just fine. Life was that unpredictable. Thank goodness he is alright now.

Talking about unpredictable, I had an accident that makes walking painful. Instead of walking, I hobble like an old man. Just my first day at the gym for over 3 months and this happens. I hope I will be ok in a week because I am seeing my mom then. She will fuss over it and it is definately not cool.

Here’s a youtube video of a really really cool wedding. It has been replicated a dozen times and was even featured in US news networks. As of today it is viewed over 32 milion times on youtube. The song is called 'Forever' by Chris Brown.
