Bahaya Matlamat Menghalalkan Cara

Nathan Diamond Dog Jones: [getting Poe attention] Yee-haw! Whats on your mind, Hillbilly?

Cameron Poe: What was I thinking about? Oh, yeah, "yee-haw", thats right. I was just wondering what a black militant - that would be you - was doin takin orders from a white boy on a power trip?
Dont you think thats strange?

Nathan Diamond Dog Jones: Its a means to an end, my white friend. A means to an end. See, I can play house nigger tills we get to where were goin. And then, the Day of the Dog begins.

(Movie quote - Con Air 1997)

As much as I hate BN decision to field Tan Sri Isa Samad as a candidate for the Bagan Pinang by-elections, I felt a greater trepidation and distrust towards the PAS candidate.

Simple fact is that PAS has allowed itself to be used as a donkey by PKR and DAP. I don’t blame PKR and DAP though, PAS is governed by non sophisticated and pea brained ustazs. These so-called ulamaks has finally allowed the unthinkable. They have finally given endorsement for non-Muslim politicians to say and quote Quranic verses to forward their political agenda.

For the record, I am not against non Muslim reading and commenting about our sacred book. Hundreds if not tens of thousands non Muslim have read, carefully studied, some even did masters or even a PHD thesis about the Quran. These students would in any given day make me, a Muslim seemed like a non ranking Walter weight going against a ranking heavy weight boxer in Quranic studies.

But, I draw the line at DAP and PKR politicians whose ONLY REASON to quote the Quran is for political mileage. Among those is Gobala Krisnan who gained infamy in the Hindraf protest in Batu Caves. Hindraf among others dishonestly claimed that Malaysia is ethnically cleansing the Hindus and blatantly destroying Hindu temples in their memo to Gordon Brown, the British PM. If PAS without as much as a hoot, allow this to happen without protest and in fact teaching these so-called politician to quote not for understanding BUT to lambast political opponents would clearly mark them too as selling the Quran for profit.
